1st Post!

For my first post I’ll just give a brief intro of myself.

Well to start my name is Diego Rovira and I was born in Lima, Peru. I came over to sunny San Diego when I was 2 years old and haven't left since. I grew up playing club soccer for the La Jolla Nomads. After a successful club career I went to St. Mary's College on a soccer scholarship. I played all 4 years and that was pretty much the end of my soccer career. I did however play in Argentina the summer of my junior year in college. I got the chance to play for Boca Jr's under-20 team and got to be on the same field as Tevez (Don't ask how I got hooked up with that...just lucky to know some people). Nowadays I play 3-4 times a week on an indoor and outdoor team and just love watching the beautiful game on TV.  My favorite players would have to be Ronaldinho and Zizou. Ronaldinho is just in another class than anyone else and I think will be remembered as the best soccer player ever.  Zizou is just one of the most fluid and smartest midfielders I have ever seen. That's it about me. I will be in Europe from June 11th to July 15th but only have a ticket to one game (USA vs  Ghana). I plan on blogging my experiences in Europe during this incredible event. In my next post I’ll let everyone know who’s going to win the cup.
