Post-game comments with Caitlin Lowe

Great job tonight Caitlin. You and Natasha seem pretty comfortable with the 1-2 switch at the top of the order?

Yeah I think we’re pretty much interchangeable. One of us is going to get the job done and hopefully the other person will move her over.

It’s almost like having two leadoff hitters at the top of the lineup?

Oh definitely. I think if I don’t get on Natasha will do the job.

What did you think of the Caitlin Lowe shift in the fourth inning? (Where China brought in the right fielder as an extra infielder.) Did it make you feel like David Ortiz at all?

If I have all infield singles---at some point they’re going to make an adjustment. I just have to be able to read the defenses and do something about it. If I see it tomorrow I’ll just have to make the adjustment.

Talk about the crowd for a second…they seem to really be an emotional part of the game.

They’re sooo amazing. It’s so great to have people come out here and support what you really love to do. I’m just glad we’re having such a good turnout.

I completely agree with every one who said something good about Caitlin. Nothing gets better then Softball. It is such a bummer that they took it out of the olympics. God Caitlin rox, she can hit, baserun, and field like nobodys buisness. Her slap hit is always perfect and then her speed guarantees her a spot on base. There is nothing you can say about her fielding but WOW. It sometimes seems unfair to the other team when she takes a homerun from over the fence. But U of A and USA are the best so i can’t feel to bad. We all love you, Caitlin, and know you will kick butt with the USA team. Go #26!!!

im taryn, i play for crestwood.
i played center out, and catcher. I just wanted to let you know that you are the greatest player like ever. my friend and i are really good softball players but as coach says there is always room for improvment, even when you make it to playoffs. our team didnt do as well i had planed we would do but we did ok. varsity made it to playoffs and won. i was so excited. Jennie Fitch is a good player to. my friend and i love both of yall. you have such a desire to play and a will to play that all my friend and i want to do is play better to catch up with yall. i just wanted to stop by and let you know that you are loved by thousands of fans and people who think you are the stuff. thanks for making a difference in my life.
