I have been to the Little League World Series 14 times, Senior League World Series 2 times, and Big League World Series once. Traded Little League pins at all of them, which is a great way to get to know people. I have met people from all over the world and have formed friendships that have lasted to this day. The Senior League World Series was then in Kissimmee, Florida and the Big League World Series was in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Little League made its first official pin in 1983. It was a hot air balloon. Little League International continues to make pins to be sold in their souvenir stands at the complex. There are also pins from the sponsors of Little League and they are given away at the Little League World Series.
Most people trade one for one. There are a few pins that demand more than one pin. There is a Pin Trading Tent at Little League World Series complex. You will be able to trade with players from various parts of United States and the world. Also at the Pin Trading Tent will be people that come to the World Series to watch games and trade pins.
There are Pin Trading Rooms at the Genetti Hotel and Radisson Hotel. There are people there most of the day trading Little League pins and talking. Some people will eat before the evening game and go directly to the pin trading rooms. The pin trading rooms are the places to go after the games.
For many years all I did was trade Little League pins, except for the time my husband did the Big League Baseball World Series in 1990, Little League Baseball World Series in 1994, and my son did the Senior League Baseball World Series in 2000. Then the last three years that I went, I watched as many games as possible. They are great fun.
Anyone involved in Little League should go to the Little League World Series at least once in their life.
Have fun watching games and trading!
